Noire vibe, in the sense that the decision you think you’ve made has little bearing on the bizarre (and usually fatal) chain of events which immediately follows from it. “Oh, you chose this agent as a sidekick? Well, she goes insane and you need to deploy a back-up choice which means no one has your back on your next stop and you’re caught in a trap and you die from a wall of spikes perforating your body.
